Growing Junior Golf in Regional Australia
PLAY
Playing golf really cements your love for the game and hence the next step in the pathway; 'PLAY' was introduced.
There are many different events open for juniors to play in and growing each year. Once kids have achieved a basic understanding of the game and rules, we will encourage them to hit the course!
CLUB COMPETITIONS
Juniors will be provided playing opportunities at their respective golf clubs to play alongside other junior golfers at different level's. As they improve, Open competitions will also become available for them to compete against Male and Female club members.
SOUTH WEST EVENTS
Within the South West, as part of Impact, we have created an event called Junior League where six players form a team to represent their club and compete against other clubs. In association with this event, we also run individual 9 and 18 hole events for those better golfers. These competitions are played at difference venues over the year and provide all our South West junior golfers with more playing opportunities and a chance to meet new friends and other golfers from their area.

REPRESENTATIVE
As part of our pathway, we want to also provide our junior golfers the opportunity to showcase their abilities against the metropolitan players and to represent the South West region,
Since 2015, we have been able to join forces with another regional team in Goldfields Golf Club and provide our golfers the chance to play in the GolfWA Metropolitan Junior Pennants competition.

In 2019, our Division Two Junior Boys team remained undefeated and took home the flag.
STATE & NATIONAL EVENTS
Throughout the year, GolfWA host many State and National events for all levels of golfers, that we encourage our players to compete in.
Each year we also take a bus load of kids ranging from Tiger Tee players to 18 hole individual players from the South West up to Kalgoorlie to compete in the Goldfields Junior Desert Open.
