Learn - develop juniors golfing skills through MyGolf programs.
Play - give juniors access to fun and competitive competitions within the region
Grow - develop junior golfers who can remain involved and give back to the wider golfing community
IMPACT CLUBS
Below are all the golf clubs within the South West region who are committed to implementing the Impact Pathway. Each club has a dedicated and passionate Professional or Community Instructor who run their Junior MyGolf Program. These clubs also boast Junior Memberships, Junior Committees and Junior Competitions.
Based at the Bunbury Golf Club, The Shani Waugh Golf School provides an ever-evolving junior program focused on providing a fun, inclusive environment to nurture the love of the game and develop skills through game-based activities.
In-school and after-school sessions are available to Juniors through the Sporting Schools initiative or a range of junior classes at Bunbury Golf Club.
Shani Waugh Golf School is committed to providing a pathway for Juniors to enable them to achieve their individual goals.
Based at Capel Golf Club, Head Professional Troy Murphy has developed their junior program which consists of two classes a week. Troy also coaches the South West Home School Society. Troy's main aim is to ensure the kids learn in a safe environment with lots of games and fun.
Collie Golf Club has only recently started Junior Golf with the assistance of Impact and thanks to WA Golf Foundation funding. Impact's co-ordinator Kate Goddard along with Club Member and Community Instructors, William Hammond and Taylah Hall, run a six week program each Term for kids aged 8+.Â
In Term 3, 2020, the program had 17 participants who are now all junior members of the Collie GC.
Donnybrook have enlisted Professional Troy Murphy to run their MyGolf Junior Program.
Golf promotes lifelong friendships, teaches appreciation of diversity, inclusion, social etiquette, communication skills, getting outdoors, and keeping fit.
The Busselton Golf Academy based at Busselton Golf Club  runs the Junior Program which is ideal for kids between the ages of 5 and 16 that are keen to learn a new skill or continue to improve their game in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Our coaches cover all aspects of the game with the opportunity for each child to progress through a series of stages from beginner to advanced golfer.
Each golf term runs for the length of the school term; up to 11 weeks. Term commitment is required. Pro rata is available if joining mid-term.
Dunsborough Lakes Golf Club runs a Juniors Program for school students in Year 4 and above.
Sessions run during the school term, head to club website for current term sessions. Matt Criss, the Club’s resident PGA professional, will run the sessions with the assistance of several Club members. This allows for small group instruction.
With an over-riding goal of ‘having fun’, we usually maintain small group instruction with many sessions out on the fairways. Students are required to wear appropriate shoes (i.e. Gym shoes/sneakers) and all other equipment is supplied.
To register go to www.mygolf.org.au and input your postcode. You will then be directed to our program.
